An overlay is produced from thin, transparent plastic which has been printed on the back. This means that the printing is protected from mechanical, thermal and chemical effects. The plastic can be polycarbonate, polyester or polyurethane. A wide range of surface textures, colours for the material and printing colours makes it possible for us to adapt the design to your exact requirements.
We provide the overlay with adhesive material on the back, making it easy to mount during your production. We can create the precise degree of adhesiveness that you require, everything from removable overlays to something that will stick rock-solid even if the plastic is greasy.
 Are you looking for a solution that has all the advantages of an overlay while being mechanically more stable. In that case we recommend a front panel, where we mount the overlay onto sheet metal, for example, aluminium. This is normally done before the mechanical processing, which means that we can achieve a perfect fit. The overlay gives a considerably better production economy than coating and printing of once-off pieces in metal. |
